The sts Team is a small crew of students who build and create together: writing code, making games, cutting video, drawing animation, and keeping this site alive. Want to join in? /join is the door.
Who we're looking for
There's no entrance exam, but two things matter more than technique: actually wanting to do it and sticking with it. Coders are welcome, and so are illustrators, video editors, and writers - the team's projects never needed programmers only.
Filling in the form
| Field | Limits | Advice |
|---|---|---|
| Nickname | Required, up to 50 characters | Use the ID you normally go by |
| Optional, must be a valid format | Strongly recommended: verification and notifications both go through it | |
| Skills | Optional, up to 200 characters | List directions, not a résumé - e.g. "Python / video editing / digital painting" |
| About you | Optional, up to 600 characters | Say what you want to make and why you want to join |
No need to write it like a job application - plain, honest sentences land better than a wall of skills.
Three steps
- Apply - fill in the form at /join and submit
- Verify your email - a 6-digit code arrives after submitting, valid for 10 minutes; type it back into the page to finish
- Wait for review - a team member reads your application; the result arrives by email
Anti-spam and duplicates
- One submission per minute per device, and at most 5 per day
- Emails or devices that already passed can't apply again
- If you have a pending (or unverified) application, the system points you back to it instead of making you retype everything
Checking your status
After submitting, the page gives you an application code (starts with J). Keep it: with that code, "Check result" on /join shows your status anytime (under review / accepted / not this time). If you left an email, the result also arrives there.
Some honest words
- Application content is visible only inside the team and never shown publicly
- Review takes a little time - no need to resubmit; you can check progress anytime
- Whatever the outcome, you'll hear it straight, by email or through the code lookup
